2/27/26 Chair 3 Opening

We’re excited to announce that Chair 3 will be back in action for tomorrow (Friday, 2/27), after we received 6 inches of natural snowfall in the Upper Basin this week! This allowed Patrol to drop the ropes on a bunch of additional runs, including a significant amount of Chair 3 terrain. Advanced riders will find plenty of room to seek out some rewarding stashes of soft snow and packed powder tomorrow.

Although there are some great turns to be had out there, keep in mind that variable conditions and coverage still exist across Chair 3 terrain. There is no snowmaking on this part of the mountain, so all runs are open on natural snow only. The underlying snowpack is thin and firm beneath this week’s fresh coat. Continue to ride with caution, especially when venturing into new areas for the first time in a while.

Our Mountain Ops team has been hard at work preparing groomed runs off of Chair 3 over the past couple days. Kiwa and Toketie have both received passes from the snowcats and were skiing really well with dry, velvety corduroy yesterday, albeit with a couple spots of thin cover. The crew will groom Chair 3 terrain again tonight if conditions permit; keep an eye on Friday morning’s Mountain Report for the latest updates on grooming status.

While most designated runs off of Chair 3 will be available to explore tomorrow, Skookum will remain closed. You must exit to your right off of Chair 3; you can then traverse on the access road to reach Tillikum or Toketie if you wish. There will be no direct access between Chair 3 and Chair 4 in either direction.

We’re looking forward to an awesome weekend with bluebird skies in the forecast. All chairs and surface lifts are scheduled for operation as we continue to reap the rewards of our recent snowfall with expanded open terrain and areas of soft snow both on- and off-piste. We’ll see you on the mountain!
