10:00am Conditions Update:
We’re seeing variable conditions across the mountain this morning. Clouds are moving through the area, creating mostly sunny skies in the Base Area while the summit remains mostly cloudy. Winds are picking up, but temperatures remain comfortable and slightly cool unless you’re standing in the sun. Surface conditions range from soft, wetter snow on lower elevation terrain and in ungroomed areas to firmer surfaces on groomed runs mid-mountain and in shaded areas.
Chair 2 is currently on mechanical hold. We will continue to update regarding the status of Chair 2 for the remainder of the day.
8:30am Conditions Update
While we are seeing no wind and sunshine in the Base Area, the next storm has arrived at the summit and with cloud cover and increasing winds with gusts into the 40mph range. There is a chance that winds will impact operations on Chair 2 today.
6:30am Report
Good morning skiers and snowboarders!
Temperatures rose overnight following an incredible stretch of snowfall over the past week, and conditions this morning are hovering right around the freezing mark across the mountain. A trace of new snow fell overnight, and after nearly three feet of snow during the recent storm cycle, there is still plenty of softer snow and packed powder conditions to enjoy out there today.
With the warmer overnight temperatures, groomed runs should start the morning soft and edgeable, offering smooth and forgiving turns. Off the groomed terrain you’ll find a mix of packed powder, soft bumps, and variable surfaces where wind and skier traffic have moved snow around over the past couple of days.
The deeper snowpack is a welcome change, but remember that much of this recent snowfall fell on top of what was previously a thin base. Coverage can still vary from run to run, and unmarked obstacles may still exist beneath the snow. Please continue to ride with awareness, stay on open runs, and respect all rope lines and trail closures.
After the incredible snowfall over the past several days, there should still be plenty of great turns to be found across the mountain.
See you on the mountain!
