10:00 Conditions Update
Good morning skiers and snowboarders,
If it’s groomed and in the sun, then it’s gonna be fun!
I had an opportunity to chat with some locals while taking in those Chair 2 views this morning. They were singing the praises of our grooming team. Shout out to the groomers! Excellent work today.
It is riding really well out there this morning. The upper mountain groomers are in great shape and skiing smoothly. The shady areas are still a bit firm, so stay in the sunshine to find softer snow with a bit more edge hold. Below Midway, things are starting to loosen up and should turn into some enjoyable spring corn shortly. Chair 4 has the firmest snow on the mountain, but, if it is anything like yesterday, I expect it to soften up beautifully later this afternoon.
The skies are clear and sunny so bring your sunscreen and darker lenses.
Remember, terrain is still somewhat limited, and the ungroomed areas I ventured into were firm, slick, and crunchy. As always, stay aware and ride within your limits.

6:30 Conditions Report
Good morning skiers and snowboarders,
Chair 3 is closed for maintenance today, and Chair 4 is operating to mid station only. Open trails today include Pika, Mimi, Lower Tumwater, Tumwater 2, Sunspot, Sitkum, Lomax, Lower Chak Chak, 100Laps Park, and Lil Bombers Park.
We came through a cool, partly cloudy night with temperatures in the mid 20s, which helped reset the snowpack and firm things up heading into this morning.
Today brings more sunny skies with a high near 32 and light west winds.
The grooming team made the most of the recent melt freeze cycle. On groomed runs, you will find the most consistent and predictable surface, while off trail areas remain extremely firm, and for the most part, closed.
Expect a range of conditions as the day unfolds. The most enjoyable turns will track with the sunlight, with lower elevations loosening up first.
Jump on it early for some smooth hot laps, then follow the warming snow into softer, more forgiving turns as the day progresses. It is lining up to be a really fun spring day on the mountain.
