3/23 Conditions Report

10AM Conditions Report: With the new snow and super mellow crowds, it’s just one of those days at Mission Ridge-magnificent! The new snow is on the heavier side, but super fun nonetheless. There is plenty of untracked snow to go around, plus it’s still coming down. Most runs (groomed and ungroomed) are covered in the snow we received this morning, making for playful turns. Visibility is moderate and the temp is around 30 so grab your low-light lenses and you’ll be prepared for a great day on the mountain. It is starting to warm up so expect the snow to contain more moisture as the day progresses. Still make sure to be aware of low coverage in some areas. Join us in the base area this afternoon for Dummy Downhill!

Early Morning Report: Huge snowflakes are falling from the sky so you know we’re going to have a good day! Heavy rain transitioned to heavy snow around 5am and we received up to five inches of new snow since, which has the whole mountain glowing. The new snow has a higher moisture content than we’re used to at Mission Ridge so keep that in mind while gearing up. Expect the AM groomed runs to be super soft and the PM groomed runs to have a nice layer of new snow on top. Off the groomed runs be aware of dynamic conditions with low coverage in places. Coverage has varied a lot in the last week so take it easy as the new snow will make if harder to spot the low coverage areas. Stick around this afternoon for the Dummy Downhill happening in the base area!

Note: Bypass will be closed all day and Summer Road will be closed in the afternoon today for the Dummy Downhill
