Skier making powder turn at Mission Ridge

2/5 Conditions Report

10am Update: What a refreshing change of pace! The 4″ of new snow we received overnight has done wonders on the groomed runs, making for smooth, soft turns. Runs groomed on the PM shift (or before midnight last night) have a blanket of that new snow sitting on top, making for dreamy first turns out there. Conditions off-piste (off the groomed runs) are variable, and you will feel the firm surface underneath. Remember that this bit of new snow is sitting on low coverage in places, so the best advice is to take advantage of the pow on top of the corduroy today. Open terrain and groomed runs may be limited. Low coverage in places. Please stay on open runs and respect all rope lines/trail closures, as they are there for your safety.

Early Morning Report: Winter is back, baby! 4″ of new snow overnight is a great way to start the new week and to welcome in February. We’re looking forward to some soft, fresh turns out there and the the groomed runs should be especially sweet today. We do need to temper the excitement a little bit and remember that this new snow is sitting on a firm surface with low coverage in places. Take it easy on your first couple of laps, as soft turns are likely to give way to variable conditions. You should expect to feel the firm surface underneath the new snow off the groomed runs. Open terrain and groomed runs may be limited. Low coverage in places. Please stay on open runs and respect all rope lines/trail closures, as they are there for your safety.
