Sisters in Action Sports (SAS) is partnering with Mission Ridge to welcome female skiers/snowboarders for a "SNOW DAY" on the mountain! This is an inclusive, safe, and community-building event for girls and women of all ages and abilities. We aim to encourage, empower, and increase participation in action sports at all levels.

There will be vendors, ski/snowboard demos, huge raffles (yes, plural), two group rides, and optional discounted lesson and rental packages!! This event is truly about building community, challenging each other, mentoring, inspiring, demoing new gear, and meeting new friends.

AGENDA:

  • 8:30am-9:30am: Check-In at SAS Tent
  • 9:30am: Morning Announcement + Group Photo
  • 10:00am-Noon: SAS Group Ride, OR
  • 10:00am-Noon: Paid Group Lesson
  • Noon-1:00pm: Break for lunch
  • Taco Cat, Olaf will be in base area for lunch - bring cash
  • 1:00pm-1:30pm: Raffle #1
  • 1:30pm-3:30pm: SAS Group Ride
  • 3:30pm-4:00pm: Raffle #2

Registration ($10):

You must register to participate in the SAS "Snow Day" event at Mission Ridge. Registration is $10 per participant. Every registered participant will receive one free raffle ticket with registration. Bring CASH for additional raffle tickets ($1 each). All proceeds go directly to Sisters in Action Sports to keep SAS opportunities like this possible.

Group Rides (Free with registration):

  • Novice: You know the basics + ski/ride green runs
  • Intermediate: Confident + ski/ride blue runs
  • Advanced: Very confident + ski/ride black diamond runs
  • Park: Confident all-mountain but want to party in the terrain park


Discounted Group Lessons (for registered participants):

Mission Ridge is offering discounted ski and snowboard group lessons for registered participants. Select applicable "add-on" lesson package (by age) when you register. This will be a two-hour lesson with a Mission Ridge Ski School instructor (from 10:00am-Noon the day of the event). Lessons must be booked by March 3rd at noon PST. Day of lesson registration will be available based on space availability but cannot be guaranteed.

Discounted Rental Packages (for registered participants):

Mission Ridge is offering discounted ski and snowboard rental packages for registered participants. Select applicable "add-on" rental package (by age) when you register. Day of discounted rental packages will be available through the Mission Ridge rental shop. You will need to check-in at the SAS Tent first. Proof of registration will be required at Mission Ridge rental shop.
