10am Update

The surface conditions are nice this morning. Firm, but carvable, conditions up top soften slightly as you make your way down to the Base Area. Anticipate conditions to continue to soften as the day progresses, but they should hold up well as the temperature looks to remain fairly consistent. The visibility is limited up top, but improves as you continue to make turns down the mountain to good visibility above mid-station. Winds on the top of the mountain are slightly higher than forecast, but it really is not impactful once you've pointed the sticks down the hill.

Chance of Snow, Fun Very Likely Today

There is a chance of snow today, little wind in the forecast, and comfy temps expected. Combine that with slightly firm, beautiful corduroy this morning on the groomed runs and you've got a holiday recipe for fun. Designated groomed runs rode great yesterday morning and you can expect more of the  same today. Start with the runs groomed on the AM schedule and then make your way onto the PM groomed run as the day progresses.

10am Update - It Is Good Out There

Things might have looked a little iffy this morning to some, but I was just out there and it is fun. The high winds forecast on top have been lighter than expected to this point, and the 3 new runs available off of Chair 2 really help to open things up. There was a little bit of new snow on top of the groom off of Chair 2 with some firmer spots to be found. Oh and by the way, did you hear Chair 3 is open! Conditions off of Chair 3 can really put a smile on your face if you have some wider skis or a board. The PM groom on Chair 3 is covered with a layer of rain crusted powder that has folks giving a hoot here and holler there. Winds on top af the Ridge are still forecast to be moderate to high ther rest of the day, but to this point have not really been a factor. It continues to snow and were continuing to have fun! Early season conditions are present. Marked and unmarked obstacles do exist so please stay on open runs and respect all rope lines/trail closures as they are there for your safety.

6:30am Update

I just spoke with Lift Mechanic James at the top of the mountian. The word is that it is currently snowing hard and that we recieved about an inch of new snow overnight up top. Suface conditions in the Base Area are wet, almost spring like snow, transitioning to nice powder as you head up the hill.

Sunday Outlook

We received a trace amount of new snow last night, but also a significant rain event as well. Luckily all the snow we have received over the last couple days is holding up well and is starting to turn into a pretty solid base. There is a lot of moisture in the snow right now, so expect spring-like conditions if the temps stay where they are, or be ready for things to firm up if the mercury drops a bit.

What a Fun Day!

What a great day to celebrate Christmas On The Mountain! 5" of new overnight, more snow all day long, and the Torchlight Parade to look forward to tonight. It was a blast carving through all the fresh this morning. And the skiing and riding is still really good, bumps and all! There is time yet to make it up to the hill for all the Christmas On The Mountain activities and to put in a few turns.
