The slopes are in terrific shape today.  The cooler temps continue  allowing the corduroy to set up very nicely!  The snow is responsive and dry living up to our reputation of light and fluffy goods.  The conditions today are chilly and awesome.  Ensure you leave no skin exposed.  There is a winter storm forecast predicting 3-5 inches of snow overnight and possibly 1 to 3 inches more throughout the day tomorrow!  Let it snow! Let’s Ride -Matt

Christmas Day Forecast

‘Twas 6am in the morning, when all through Mission Ridge’s Lodge like house Not a creature was stirring, not even a Pika (which is like a really fat mouse). The beer mugs were placed, on the bar shelves with care In hopes that fresh ale, soon would be there. The A.M. Groomers were nestled, all snug in their Snow Cats, For their hard work they deserve at least the tip of all your hats. And the Snow Makers are more than up for the task Each one undoubtedly donned in a warm winter cap, For the Ridge was just about to wake from its off hours nap. When over the radio arose such a clatter, That this snow reporter set down his coffee mug, to see what twas the matter. And what to my wondering eyes should appear, But a beautiful sun on the rise and bluebird skies drawing near. We’ll have comfy temps throughout the day, and a high near 31, And little to no wind and plenty of sun. The groomed runs have been fitted with fresh corduroy pants, And Cowboy Doug the groomer said he even saw Prop Man doing a midnight snow dance. While this morning there may be no new snow on the ground, The Lift Mechanics And Ops will have all chairs a runnin’ for you to make many a round. And we hope that your stockings were stuffed to the brim and we know that your tummy will surely get it’s its fill, And look forward to soon seeing you on the hill. Happy Holidays to you and yours from everyone here at Mission Ridge!

There are some fun powder pockets to be had and the groomers are skiing and riding beautifully as well, so go on and enjoy your mid-week adventure! See you out there, -Skier Amy

12:00pm Update I just took several runs down Chair 3.  Excellent shredding and skiing out there today!  Slope conditions are impressive with plenty of untouched lines, firm but sweet groomers, and pockets of the good stuff.  The warmer temps from this morning are chilling out and continue to decrease.  The 6” of snow dropped overnight lays like a nice thick blanket which is uncharacteristic of the usual type of snow we receive this time of year but welcoming all the same!  The more the better!  Chair 4 is open and resumed normal operations.  Chair 2 is still on Standby and will resume normal operations should weather conditions permit.  Stay tuned for more updates.  Let’s Ride! Matt
