Weather Updates Archive

A huge thanks to all who came and joined us for opening weekend! It feels great to officially have the season underway. We will be closed this week, Monday through Thursday, and plan to reopen Friday through Sunday from 9am to 4pm each day.
From our weather data, it looks like it is currently pretty calm at lower elevations with a slightly stronger breeze at the summit. The top of the mountain is benefitting from that westerly weather pattern and accumulating white bit by bit, including through today where we are scheduled to receive a little more snowfall throughout the day today at the summit.
Wind conditions continued to build overnight and remained high into the morning. We anticipate Chair 2 will start the day on a wind hold. We encourage you to ease into the season and, as always, ski and ride with care.
We are still riding yesterday's high this morning in anticipation of some Friday fun. The snow base may be firmer at the top of the mountain and softer at the base, where temperatures stayed above freezing overnight.
Thanks to our snowmakers grinding down to the wire, we are able to spin the first chairlift in Washington of the 2025/2026 season for a limited opening! Conditions may be softer on top and firmer toward the base, with scattered precip across the mountain.
I was lucky enough to enjoy a pre-season test run this morning. The hard work of our mountain operations teams has certainly paid off, with smooth cords on Sunspot and Tumwater contrasting sharply with thin coverage elsewhere.
