Flurries are in the air this morning, as we've seen temps dropping back below freezing across all elevations overnight. Snow surfaces will be firm today, after yesterday's warmth and rain froze up overnight.

Today we are seeing a mix of rain and snow move through the region. Expect precipitation on and off throughout the day, with rain and snow this morning, transitioning more toward rain this afternoon, and then back to a rain snow mix later this evening.

Expect a range of conditions as the day unfolds. The most enjoyable turns will be on the groomers and will track with the sunlight, with lower elevations loosening up first.

We dropped into a clear, cold night with temps down around 19, which set the mountain up nicely with a solid overnight freeze. That reset is exactly what we want this time of year, and it is giving us a more consistent surface to start the day.

Open runs today will include Sitkum, Lower Chak Chak, Mimi, and Pika Peak. And for the park lovers out there, we will have Lil Bomber Park open, and 100Laps Park opening later in the morning once take offs are perfected after a little rebuild action took place yesterday.

We expect that the Upper Basin will remain closed on Saturday. It will re-open when conditions permit. A classic spring conditions cycle is likely to emerge this weekend, with overnight firm-ups followed by softening during the daytime.
