1/29/23 Conditions Report

10am Update: The sun is out making for a beautiful morning this Sunday! The sounds of boards and skis on fresh corduroy can be heard all over the mountain so come grab some crisp and sunny turns. Remember to bring hand warmers and extra layers as the temps are -4 at the summit and 8 at the base. If adventuring into off piste terrain, use caution as variable conditions do exist. Early Morning Report: Starry skies and cold temps this morning will make for yet another cold crisp January day of skiing this Sunday. The light dusting of snow we received yesterday paired with our grooming team's efforts this morning will make for some excellent turns on piste. While the sun will be out all day, we are forecasting cold temps today. It is currently 8 at the base area and -1 at the summit so remember to bundle up with an extra layer and prepare for blue bird turns!  Forecast: Sunny, with a high near 13. Wind chill values as low as -17. Northeast wind 10 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.

Night Conditions Report 1/28/23

4 PM update: As the lights come on the snow is coming down! We are seeing snow fluries across the slopes, with visibility decreasing as you gain elevation. The snow we are receiving is riding on northeastern winds, creating a chilly and blustery trip to the summit of the mountain. If you head to the top tonight, be sure to bundle up. Our cooler temps have kept the groomed runs in great condition today, and if the snow keeps falling we could see some accumulation start up tonight. We have mountain music from 7-9pm, 21+ drinks in the Igloo from 5-7pm, and loads of lit turns to enjoy!

1/28/23 Conditions Report

10am Update: Our gorgeous downvalley views are being replaced by a cloud layer at the summit that should bring us something equally as beautiful… snow! The forecast is calling for 2-4” of accumulation throughout the day. Keep an eye out for those softer pockets of snow to deliver fun turns perched on top of the groom. The summit felt a touch chilly my first lap out today, so be sure and grab that extra layer to enjoy your adventure. Don’t forget we have night skiing and mountain music heating up tonight when the sun goes down!  Early Morning Report: With the early morning glow of the valley still visible from the summit, Saturday is shaping up to be spectacular here at The Ridge. We have seen consistent corduroy turns throughout the week, and I anticipate this morning's best turns will be on the AM groomed runs. If you choose to adventure off-piste, be sure and scope out your lines before going full send as conditions are variable. Our forecast is calling for snow showers arriving today, so watch for those clear skies to make way for cloud cover and keep those snow dances going! Temperatures remained consistent throughout the night, and are forecast to fall throughout the day into this evening. Be sure and grab that extra layer for night skiing tonight!

Night Conditions Report 01/27/2022

4 PM update: The sunsets the last few days have been amazing and tonight should offer another stellar one! The snow has that granular layer on top of firmer snow again. Pro-tip, make your turns on the top of the mounds rather than where everyone else has made the turns. This should provide you with better turns all night long. Look for off-piste to be variable and firm in places. Remember to easy style it your first couple of laps to get used to the conditions based off of your riding/skiing style.

10am Update: Gorgeous views around the mountain no matter where your eyes wander! Groomers are skiing wonderfully with the upper mountain skiing fast and firm, turns progressively softening as you make your way down the slopes. The sun is shining bright out there today so if you are on the search for softer turns follow those rays around The Ridge and get your daily dose of Vitamin-SKI! Off-piste terrain remains variable around the mountain so be sure to look before you leap off the groomed runs! Early Morning Report: I am no astrologist but these stars are telling me its going to be another great day on the mountain, with sunshine and blue sky in the forecast I can't wait to get out on the slopes. You can find me cruising the groomers today, with upper mountain groomed runs likely offering up a bit of speed and lower mountain groom giving us some softer turns. Off-piste terrain remains variable around the mountain. Be sure to scout those off-piste lines before you go full bore.

Night Conditions Report 01/26/2023

4 PM update: It looks like we could be treated to another fantastic sunset! The turns were softer than yesterday at this time, with some firmer areas again, but we should be seeing good turns throughout the night. It's a great night to come up with a couple friends, do some laps and then have your favorite beverage and catch up at either Midway or the Chair 5 pub. The temps were in the mid-40s across the mountain today, but the low at the Summit is only supposed to go to 33 tonight. Look for the turns to be a little softer to start the night, with the potential to firm up a bit as the night goes on. Forecast: A 20 percent chance of snow after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 33. Windy, with a west wind 18 to 23 mph increasing to 26 to 31 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 47 mph.

Night Conditions Report 01/25/2023

4 PM update: We've got another beautiful night on our hands up here at The Ridge. I just got back in from a lap from the Summit to the Base Area, and the snow is riding quick, with a soft layer of granular snow. It is firmer areas, but overall the turns felt more spring-like. We did get up to the 40s here at the base today, so look for things to firm up more as the night goes on. Remember to easy style it your first few laps to get a feel for the riding conditions for your style of riding or skiing.

We have sunshine and blue skies once again on the dockett for the mountain. Lets give a big shout out to the Mission Ridge grooming team that has been laying down excellent surfaces giving us consistent turns on the slopes. The PM squad is giving us speedy runs while the AM team is offering up some softer turns, I for one have been enjoying them both! Off-piste terrain is still offering great turns but remember conditions are variable. No matter where you venture today, always respect all rope lines and trail closures as they are in place to keep you safe.

1/24/23 Conditions Report

10am Update: If there is one thing I don't get tired of its the view of our Wenatchee Valley and today its a beaut! Our groomers are firing, PM groom offering up some speed and the AM giving you soft, smooth turns around The Ridge. The sun is working its way across the slopes and will work its magic on the mountain as the day progresses and more runs feel those rays. I saw some off-piste riders that were getting some great turns but be aware conditions do vary. No matter where you venture today, always respect all rope lines and trail closures as they are in place to keep you safe. Early Morning Report: Please note that for today we will have Chair 1, Chair 3, Chair 4, and all surface lifts scheduled for operation from 9am-4pm. The Wenatchee Express (Chair 2) will be closed on Tuesday for maintenance. I hope you are enjoying these bluebird days because it is looking like we have another lined up for us today! You can expect to find consistent turns on all the groomed runs with PM groomers skiing a bit firmer and faster than the AM groom. Once the sun pops up from over the ridge expect every turn to get a bit softer as the day progresses. Off-piste terrain is offering some great riding for those who go searching but conditions do vary. No matter where you venture today, always respect all rope lines and trail closures as they are in place to keep you safe.
