Skier making a turn on a fresh groomed run

1/10/20 Conditions Report

10 AM Update: I just got back in from some turns and the snow is in great shape and should hold nicely all day. It's currently clear and the sun is coming out at the top of Chairs 3 and 4, so it has the makings of another good day on the hill. We had a great time out on the mountain yesterday and we are looking forward to more of the same today. Consistent, cool temps overnight will have the groomed surfaces in great shape this morning and there are nice turns off-piste (non-groomed runs) still to be found as well. Another storm is headed our way early next week with 6”-12” possible by the end of the day Wednesday. Until the storm arrives we are going to enjoy partly sunny skies and calm winds to wrap up the weekend. We will have Chairs 1, 3, 4 and the Pika Peak Rope Tow scheduled for operation from 9 am to 4 pm. The 100LAPS Rope Tow will start the day on hold. Due to Chair 2 lift construction, there will be no access from chair 1 to chair 3. To access Chair 3, please use Chair 4. Please make sure to dress appropriately for the conditions and remember that we are asking that everyone use their car as their base camp as there is no inside seating at this time and capacity restrictions are in place for all inside spaces.

1/9/21 Conditions Report

10 AM Update: The groomed runs are riding smooth and we currently have some amazing views from the top of Chair 3 and 4. It's shaping up to be a good day on the mountain and should also set up for a good night as well.    We’ve had over two feet of new snow to kick off the new year with a little bit more in the forecast for the coming week. Additional terrain opened up off the top of Chair 3 yesterday for those expert skiers and riders out there. Check out the terrain section of the conditions report below for more info on what’s new. We will have Chairs 1, 3, 4, the Pika Peak Rope Tow, and the 100LAPS Rope tows scheduled for operation from 9 am to 4 pm and the then Chairs 1, 4, and both Rope Tows scheduled for night skiing form 4 pm to 9 pm. Due to Chair 2 lift construction, there will be no access from chair 1 to chair 3. To access Chair 3, please use Chair 4. Forecast - 1/9 - A 10 percent chance of snow after 4pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 26. South wind 8 to 10 mph. Please make sure to dress appropriately for the conditions and remember that we are asking that everyone use their car as their base camp as there is no inside seating at this time and capacity restrictions are in place for all inside spaces.

1/8/21 Conditions Report

10 AM Update: It's snowing pretty hard right now, and we are closer to 2" of new since last night. The snow is riding good and there should be plenty of good turns out there today. We woke up to 1" of new snow, which will be a nice topping on the groomers this morning. The new snow over the last week has filled in our open runs nicely, and our grooming team has been knocking it out of the park every day with sweet corduroy. Due to chair lift construction, there will be no access from chair 1 to chair 3. To access Chair 3, you will have to ride up Chair 4 until work is complete. As always, take it easy your first run to get a feel for the mountain conditions on and off-piste.

1/7/21 Conditions Report

10 AM Update: The groomer turns have been great this morning and I even found a couple of fresh stashes without much exploring or effort. Look for the conditions to become more variable as the day goes on. It's shaping up to be a good day for turns. The groomers around the base area feel softer and ready for you to dig into them. There should still be some pockets to be found higher up on Chair 4 and Chair 3. Look for the conditions to become more variable as the day goes on. As always, take it easy your first run to get a feel for the mountain conditions on and off-piste.

1/6/21 Conditions Report

10 AM Update: Wow, the turns are good out there everywhere this morning. The 5" in the last 24 hours is riding good and you should be able to find stashes in the trees and other places throughout the day. It's Wednesday and we've got some fresh snow. We picked up 3" of new snow last night, 5" in the last 24 hours, and 10" in the last 48 hours. The temperatures remained pretty consistent last night so the groomers should be good this morning and the off-piste higher up on Chair 4 and the top of Chair 3 should be softer but look for variable conditions. We do have a 50% chance of snow today, so do those dances. Take a lap on the groomers first to get a feel for the snow and maybe sneak into the off-piste areas in a couple of places to see how it's riding.

1/5/21 Conditions Report

Tuesday’s here and with it comes another chance of fresh snow. There are a couple of inches of new snow in the forecast to add to the 7” we’ve picked up in the last 48 hours. Conditions today will be firmer on the lower mountain (mid-Chair 4 to the Base Area) and variable but softer above and to the top of Chair 3. Yesterday’s heavier, wetter snow has firmed up overnight, especially near the Base Area and on Mimi. Start the day on the groomed runs and look for Chair 3 to have some of the best turns this morning. Do a little snow dance as you wiggle down the mountain and keep your fingers crossed for more of the fresh stuff today. Forecast - 1/5 - Snow likely, mainly after 4pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 28. South wind 11 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

1/4/21 Conditions Report

We are enjoying fresh turns to start out a fresh week! Temps have increased a bit this morning adding some weight to the 6" of fresh snow. Surface conditions vary from heavy powder snow and soft groomed conditions to variable on non-groomed runs. This new snow is sitting on top of an early-season snowpack so please take it easy out there and get a feel for conditions. Some areas may appear more covered than they actually are. Early season conditions do exist with thin coverage in places. Please stay on open runs and respect all rope lines/trail closures as they are there for your safety. Off-piste (non-groomed) surface conditions are variable. Please make sure to dress appropriately for the conditions and remember that we are asking that everyone use their car as their base camp as there is no inside seating at this time and capacity restrictions are in place for all inside spaces.

1/3/21 Conditions Report

10 AM Update: I just got in off the hill, and the grooming team knocked it out of the park again last night. The 1" of new snow overnight on top of the groomers made for some good turns this morning and the valley views are breathtaking from the tops of Chairs 3 and 4. Look for soft groomer conditions to become more variable throughout the course of the day with variable conditions in off-piste (non-groomed) runs. We're sending the weekend out in style and look forward to more turns on the mountain today from 9 am to 4 pm. We've picked up another inch of new snow overnight across much of the mountain for a total of 2" in the last 24 hours. The 100LAPS Terrain Park is now open after it's first day in operations for the season yesterday. Look for soft groomer conditions to become more variable throughout the course of the day with variable conditions in off-piste (non-groomed) runs. The forecast is calling for more snow to roll in this afternoon and tonight with up to 8" possible by the end of the day Wednesday. Early season conditions do exist with thin coverage in places. Please stay on open runs and respect all rope lines/trail closures as they are there for your safety. Off-piste (non-groomed) surface conditions are variable. It may be a bit breezy at times today so please make sure to dress appropriately for the conditions and remember that we are asking that everyone use their car as their base camp as there is no inside seating at this time and capacity restrictions are in place for all inside spaces.

1/2/21 Conditions Report

It's currently snowing with a trace of new snow overnight and the chance of snow until 2 pm. We did have warmer temps yesterday with some snow/rain mix but temperatures remained consistent overnight, so look for the soft wet snow at the base area and packed powder towards the top of chair 3. It is calling for another warm up cycle as the day goes on with a chance of rain. Look for groomed surfaces to become more variable throughout the day and evening. Early season conditions do exist with thin coverage in places. Please stay on open runs and respect all rope lines/trail closures as they are there for your safety. Off-piste (non-groomed) surface conditions are variable.
